beep...beep...beep

Standing under the awning, you come to the realization that the call is not connecting. You sigh and press your back against the slick concrete wall for a moment more. You peer a narrowed eye into the coin slot of the payphone, looking fruitlessly, you know, for an answer. You find nothing but an empty crevice and the constant ringing of the dialtone in your ear.

it continues to rain.

finally, you place the phone back onto the holder with a resigned click.you stand in place, looking at your surroundings for a moment before your eyes return to the payphone.

try again?

you make a decision.
